The Summer Slump that many declining churches experience is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Most declining churches actually take actions that always lead to a Summer Slump – they combine worship services and the choir takes the summer off. No wonder church attendance is down in the summer. Ever wonder what would happen if your church was a year around church that added ministries in the summer?
Well the June edition of our ezine On Track will show you some ways to actually increased attendance in the summer. So watch for it the first part of June.
If you’re not subscribed to On Track you can do so by clicking here.
Hoping you have a Summer Hump instead of a Summer Slump,

Great post Bill. I’ve been telling churches summer is the time church shoppers come looking. Why in the world would you want to do anything but put your best foot forward. In an experiment with churches and VBS I found retention of visitors more than doubled if VBS was done just before school went in instead of just after school went out.
